Amanda Priest critiqued mine. She said that overall I used the right texture for this dot structure. She went on to say that the different sizes of the texts I used made the viewer come into the dots on the page. She also said that she liked the way I used rolled up paper to make my dots pop out. The only things she said she would change is maybe the neatness of my dots.
This is a blog about what I had to do in my ART classes in college, starting with my experience in the WASH progam here at SAM.

Dot Dot Yay!
So on the second part of this project, we had to put one of our final four on to one of our textures. We put them up so our peers could critique what we did. I decided to critique Morgan's dots and texture. His dots reflected proximity. I liked that he used all big text. I really liked the text because certain words that he picked go together so I was constantly looking for sentences. I got lost in the words but it wasn't necessarily bad. I didn't like what he used for the dots. In this texture, the dots just didn't pop especially the two at the bottom. I didn't even see them at first. Once I looked closer, I could finally see them. I also think that the texture would have been more effective if he would have covered more of the white space. I personally like it more when almost all of the white space is covered. Overall I liked the texture by itself but it just didn't work for the dot structure he chose to display.
